What does a typical day as a real estate broker in Massachusetts really look like? Sometimes it starts with heading to one of my listings while already watching the clock because there’s only a short window before the next commitment.
That kind of tight scheduling is pretty typical.
On the same morning, I had a scheduled board meeting for Realtors that I was supposed to attend shortly after closing. Even knowing I might arrive late because of how everything lined up, the responsibilities didn’t change. Listing appointments, meetings, and ongoing calls all continue to stack throughout the day.
Any small gap becomes a chance to stay productive.
If I have a few minutes after recording a quick update or while traveling between stops, I’ll use that time to make calls. A lot of conversations happen while I’m in the car, whether it’s talking with agents, connecting with team members, or helping other agents work on growing their business.
At the same time, there’s the ongoing work of listing homes, selling homes, and dealing with legal issues or client-related concerns that can come up. It can be intense, and the pace usually carries on from early in the morning until late at night.
That’s just a small glimpse into what the life of a real estate broker can look like. It’s busy, and the schedule can feel very tight, but it’s also a great gig. So, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call (978) 746-0124 or email chris@dohertyproperties.com. It takes a lot of work, and the days tend to stay full, but it’s all part of how the business runs.
