Massachusetts real estate agents, how do you find your way forward in a world full of uncertainty? Recently, people have been facing all kinds of challenges, like wars, tariffs, rising interest rates, economic pressure, and even relationship struggles. While you can’t control any of that, you can always come back to yourself and take responsibility. Focus on what you can control, whether you’re navigating a tight market or dealing with uncertainty in any other part of life.

When everything feels chaotic, I come back to a simple approach that helps me stay grounded. Here are three key things I focus on:

1. Take responsibility. The first thing we need to do is return to ourselves, which means taking full accountability for our actions and mindset. We have to remember that we can’t control what’s happening in the news or the economy, but we can control how we respond to it. We can choose how we show up each day and decide what kind of energy and attitude we bring to every situation.

“If you’re a real estate agent and the news has you feeling stuck, don’t sit back—take action”

2. Get a plan. I prioritize what matters to me and get a plan together. If you’re a real estate agent and the news has you feeling stuck, don’t sit back—take action. Start by making your calls, knocking on doors, and putting together a clear marketing and content strategy. It’s about getting back in the game and focusing on what you can do, not what the market might do. If you’re dealing with tough relationships, the same thing applies. Go back to yourself, figure out what you need, and make a plan from there.

3. Execute with purpose. Lastly, execution is everything, and I tell my clients this all the time. Whether they’re trying to decide if they should buy, sell, rent, or hold onto a property, the external noise often clouds their judgment. On the other hand, you just have to do what’s right for you at the moment and then execute. Don’t overthink the outcome and focus on the actions, not the results.

In my world, I guide people through some of the happiest and hardest moments of their lives. This simple formula works every time. If you need more tips, feel free to call me at 978-746-0124 or send an email to chris@dohertyproperties.com. Talk soon.
